View Full Version : G36C battery question
I am just curious. What battery sizes will fit in a TM G36C ? Such as mini, large, etc.

Mini
Don't let that turn you away from a gun though. I have a P90 and I use a 8.4v 950 mAh NiMh battery in it and with 2 of em you can play for an entire day
Ok sounds like a good deal, except I still don't know what size battery pack will fit a G36C nicely :)

Mini
As tripod said, a mini...
Sorry I didn't see the one line that said mini on it! Thanks for the fast reply. So just mini battery packs will work eh? NO custom pack is currently available?

there might be, I jsut don't know what it is. Like I said, minis are not that bad....
Also, I know there's G36K conversions out there that fits large type batteries.....
I also saw something about a G36 conversion that has both the optical sight and the red dot sight... Only thing is that it read laser sight, not sure if that means red dot or what.....

There is a custom pack for it, it does require some modification though.

I think G&G makes a enlarged foregrip that can hold a Large battery. Try redwolf or DEN for more info.

or bust out the dremel, and hollow it a bit more to hold a large battery.
Ok..so there is a difference between mini-battery and mini-battery packs? You say to use the "mini" or "small" type battery pack for the TM G36C, however the manual for the gun states the following:
"Use the specified bettery for the gun, Marui 8.4v, 600mAh Hyper Command SD type mini battery."
then it goes on to say......
"The AK and Mini Batteries cannot be used"
what the heck!?
I am shopping for a battery for my G36C and i see "small type" and i see "mini"...i just want to make sure I get the correct type.
If you have a URL to a pack on sale at a USA retailer, please post that.
Oh yea...my version of the TM G36C has the EG1000 motor in it. (vs. the 700 that is advertised to use the mini type batteries)
so i figure the manual says not to use mini batteries due to the better motor?

Motor type has nothing to do with the battery size used. It is simply a matter of space, you stick the biggest battery that will fit in a gun.
As stated, the G36c uses the mini type battery. I am not sure what manual you are refering to, but I assume something was lost in the translation, as the Ak-47s doesn't use a standard mini battery, it uses a mini "stick" type battery.
Here is a pic of the battery you need:

the link just takes me to the home page...thanks.

OK, I think the normal batteries that will fit (non custom, sorry for lack of terms) are the 650 mAh Ni Cd Batteries and the 950 Ni Mh batteries. They are the same in physical size, but the Ni Mh hold more juice....
Locutus - I didn't intend for my last post to sound like I was being an Arse. Misworded the end , heh..
anyways, i am just worried about the size of the battery pack. as long as it's called a "mini" then i guess it will work

Hawg, I didn't think sounded like an arse. Sometimes my responses are dry and to the point, and people confuse that with me being irritated or something. :)
