Wow...
I knew that the B-2 was large, but I didn't think that it dwarfed the F-22 that badly...

It motivates me to stop paying taxes until I get a ride in one.

Once I get into the airforce. That's what I want to fly.

Did you know that one ounce of B2 is worth more than one ounce of gold? In one of my old books, it says that each cost over a billion to make and require quadruple the maintanance time of the old B1Bs. For every one of these, you could have 20 F117s. I think they are ugly and not worth it, also considering that modern radar technology is catching up to the old girl.

interesting comment, however none of those pictures has an F-22 in it.

By my count
2 F-16's:
two in the 2nd picture
4 F-15's:
two in the 7th picture and two in the 12th
17 F-18's:
one in the 2nd picture, sixteen in the last
0 F-22's

Ah.....didn't look well enough....my mistake.
I thought the two fighters on the left in the second picture were F-22's......
Shows how little I know about planes. BUT my point still stands - the B-2 is still a lot bigger than I thought it was.

actually by comparison, when i look at the second picture i cant help but be disapointed in how small it is. i know how big the fighters are in real life (alot smaller than you think). Now if you wanna see a BIG plane...check out the C5 galaxy!

dLet's not forget the Antonov AN-124

Or the massive Antonov AN-225. Now this this is massive. I believe they only built one for transporting the russian space shuttle and it was scrapped and rebuilt for a private hualing company.

Agreed! But it is man-made, the size of a skyscaper on it's side, and it still generates enough lift to fly which puts in the catagory of "amazing".
Crazy Russians. It may be big... but we have more.

You can see both a Stealth Bomber and F22 at the National Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton. The Crazy thing is the B1 is a lot longer than the B2, which really isnt that big.

I do admit the Galaxy is a very large plane but it does not deploy weapons that will turn Iran into a giant glass skating bowl.
On another note, yes the Wright Patterson Airforce museum is a fantastic way to spend the day. Maybe after the next event out at Springfield, we should get a group together and go. The last time I was there, it was no charge.

Most runways aren't long enough for them so they have to use more flaps which give them more lift at slower speeds.
