Now all they have to do is get rid of the rest of the team, the stadium and the coaches.

I was a Bengals fan in 01, and long before that. Considering the Bengals have had great attendance for the past decade, I don't think I am the only one. That was part of the problem, what motivation did Mike Brown have to improve the team when a pathetic team was packing the house?

For the Win.
I applaud you guys for being Bengals fans for a while, with LeBou or whoever, and such a pathetic team, and such a lousy record, attendence went down, and up until the team got spanked by the Steelers, everyone was Oh Carson all the Way! Bengals are going to the Super Bowl! Band Wagon.....

It's not like the Bengals are amazing, but they are better than the Brown's. I can understand some of the hype, they are decnt, but are no where near Super Bowl material.

incorrect...if the bengals had a half decent defense...they would win the super bowl. im not just being a fanboy either...palmer is second only to manning in NFL. they have 2 of the best receivers, and their running back is decent. this is a far above average team. the defense didnt play last sunday, thats the only reason the browns won. it wont happen again i assure you.

Half the defense is in Jail, who dey gonna arrest next?
The only reason why the Bengals beat the Ravens is because the Defense got out on Parole.

actually, its their receivers that are having the most run in with the law...chris henry is out for the first half of the season again...yet they still have the best offence in the game. i dont know who you are thinking of, but there are no defenseman in jail to my knowledge.

No one's in jail for good duh..
In January '07- Jonathan Joseph was arrested in Northern Kentucky for Marajuana Possession
In May '07- Defensive end Frostee Rucker pleaded to a reduced charge of Domestic Violence in Los Angeles and put on Probation
In May '07 again- Linebacker A J Nicholson arrested in Northern Kentucky for hitting his Girlfriend, cut by the team 3 days later.
Well, there was no charge on Deltha O'Neal, but in December '06 he was arrested for DUI but no charges brought.

I wish i had read all of the thread before i repped you in a previous post. I"m guessing you arent much of a football fan, more like just a 1 team follower kind of guy. like Brian already said, attendance never really went down season tickets were always hard to obtain and there was never a reason to change the team considering we were still packing the house.
As for Palmer, i really dont see where you are getting that "band wagon" hype. If you are referring to the Playoff game, well need i remind you the NFL was screaming Palmer's name before the playoffs, hence why we were in the playoffs.
As for your defense in jail comment, well those defensive players are actually out on injuries. The only defense that i can even remotely connect to your "jail" theory is possibly thurman's 1 year suspension. Which was for missing a probationary hearing.
We can all sit here and theorize on how the Bengals will do, however Maverick, i will disagree, they probably will lose again. I think we are still plagued with the inconsistency we had last year. If you remember last year's schedule was supposed to be hard at first and trail off at the end, however we really started making mistakes on the teams that we thought we should have beaten. I've never thought the "skill" of the defense was bad, just the inconsistency. When the team talked about addressing the defensive issues, i was hoping that was what they would be working on. HOWEVER i'll end it all with this.
Its 2 games into the season. 6 games after a year of sitting around and enjoying a personal life.... Anything is still possible. If you'd like to talk about a team that deserves degrading comments, talk about the Patriots. Their punishment was way too weak. It taught the viewers/players that as long as everyone cheats, then ya cant get suspended.

I'm not a one team Follower, I follow the Panthers because they're my home team, I follow the New York Jets because I just...like them...of course everyone has to like the Colts, who can hate Peyton Manning? I like the Detroit Lions because Kitna has really helped me out in the past, and has really promoted me positively, so I love seeing them do well.

kitna was a bengal. lol.
i have no dount they will screw it up again...i mean, when you loose to the browns, thats a pretty good sign on whats gonna happen during the season. its just too bad. they really do have one of the best if not THE BEST offense in the NFL. anyone that wants to argue that, don't bother.

I know Kitna was a Bengal, and when he was here, my Dad is a writer for the Cincinnati Enquirer, so I spent some time at Training Camp, and Kitna was always kind to me.
