I was looking around for another german style camouflage pattern I could get to use besides flec-and I ran across an older BGS pattern that has roots as far back as nazi germany (well, so does flec, but not as obvious). Its referred to as "tan and water" pattern, and is a mixture of rain camo, red, green and gray. Not suitable for woodland I'd gather, at least not summer. But I was interested in using it for CQB, something not as often seen, I'm confident.
Heres an example: http://www.xs4all.nl/~vijfvijf/Uniforms/U0164.htm
I've found the M43 style cap in this pattern, as well as pants...but can anyone help me to a site where the shirt/tunic would be in stock? this one pictured is $100, little high for a camo shirt. Especially considering these can be had for more around $40 if you find them before they go out of stock. I've done lots of looking, WEPHAUS had them for under $40-now out of stock, unfortuneately.
I hadn't checked ebay yet...but I hate auctions.
