What are the rules for hand to hand combat? Because I've been looking for someone to test my drunken boxing on...

As far as I know there is no physical contact. To touch a person from the other team is considered a knife kill. No hand to hand combat. Maybe try your local gym and get into the ring to try out your skills. The field is meant for friendly competition.
Good luck with your boxing though.

Are you serious?

Step 1. Drop your guns and gear.

Step 2. Scream AHHHHHHHHHH as your running towards your enemy.

Step 3. Jump as high as you can before hitting the victim.

Step 4. Land on top of him/her and drive them to the ground.

Step 5. If the victim does not surrender repeat 4-5 times.

note the level of sarcassam.

Try your local bar.

if you are serious some backyard games will allow minimal hand to hand. In our teams practice games we allow people to attempt to wrestle knifes (they are plastic or rubber) away from people. Other than that, it's too dangerous.

Physical contact of any kind causes inflated anger, aggression and most of all IS UNCALLED FOR.
If your "backyard games" allow this, you may want to reconsider another place to play.

WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE JOKING AROUND ABOUT A SERIOUS SUBJECT? All we need is some player to attack another on the field because it's milsim or they THINK they can be a "warrior" by physically attacking someone?
GET A GRIP!!!!!!!

Okay, I have to make a comment that is completely off the subject. Dub4lyfe... Holy Crap! New avatar has you looking like an attorney. Lot different from the person I met at Red Dragon.

Alright, carry on with the subject matter.

Alcohol is prohibited at airsoft events
Physical contact is prohibited (with exception to knife kill taps)

You have asked a question that leaves a bad first impression. Drunken boxing? Show up drunk and find yourself leaving in a police car. Put your hands on someone and find yourself leaving in a police car. Put your hands on me and find yourself leaving in a ambulance.

Don't attend events until you are ready to take it seriously.

Drunken Boxing is a style. It has nothing to do with the combatants level of intoxication.

I like Urban Dictionary's definition better.

1. drunken boxing 7 up, 9 down

This form of the martial arts is best demonstrated by a drunken moron in a drunken stupor. His repressed male urge to fight and establish his dominance, results in the punching of various male acquaintances in the surrounding bar or party.

People that are sober or less drunk, often can not comprehend the rationale behind these punches, and quickly become annoyed. Occasionally another drunken moron will trade punches with the initiator, resulting in a drunken boxing match. The match has no winner, and usually results in a hug and the consumption of some more unnecessary alcohol.

Phil was so lit that he started drunken boxing with some guy he barely knew. It almost resulted in an ***-kicking.

The type of style is not important here. Though it was the subject of one of my favorite kung fu movies. He has made it very clear that he didnt read the rules.

Ah, If we can have "Friendly" shotting each other up, why not have "friendly" h2h? I have used it on people, along with some 20 other styles. It is called Shadow fighting. You do not actually hit said person, just prove you can get under their guard, and do so repeatedly. The winner is declared as winner under the condition of a third person, who acts as a judge, or onlooker. When one person has proved themselves superior, they win. Exhibition matches are NOT considered assault if they are included in part of a sport that involves it. Just think about it, because I am not an all-out rifleman mania guy. I have the need for honoring ones opponent, and respecting them, yet at the same time furthering myself. I have been practicing kung fu now for 8 years. I have been practicing sword for 8 years as well. I have a little cousin named Alex whom I have taught the past 3 years. He has become good enough that we can use live steel in competitions. He is nine years old and almost as good as me. One match he was using one of my ninja swords, and I was using a machete. Not one single injury, cut, scrape, bruises. I have self discipline enough to know when something is not acceptable in these competitions. You must come to udnerstand that we DO come to using h2h combat in airsoft. I am sure that we would not let anyone not skilled enough to do so, just as we wouldn't give a 5 year old a loaded gun.

Jeez you are 14 and you speak of underage drinking?

...

There is a certain time and place for this. It doesn't belong in airsoft.

Also, no one cares about your experiences. Whoopdy woo... blah blah blah

accidents happen. that's why we don't allow it. plus. changing the topic. not a good idea. To allow hand to hand fighting in an actual skirmish (or whatever you like to call them) then we would have to have written permission from every person. Plus in the larger games where there are game specific waivers I'm sure the lawyers would be overjoyed to allow that. Those are the main problems with it.

My bad for not being up on "Boxing" jargon.
Point remains. No physical contact. All you need is someones goggles to get knocked off. Airsoft is airsoft. Want to fight, go join the UFC. Want to fake fight, go join the WWE.

i thought the whole point of practicing those sort of techniques is to never use them on anyone unless you MUST defend yourself.... i didn't think you were supposed to take that training and beat the crap out of people. or should i say, fake beat the crap out of people....
airsoft will never allow hand to hand, and the day it does, thats the day i leave the sport. leave it be dude!

oh well. Truth is I wasnt talkign about fighting, as in rolling in mud all out brawl. I have done so to further myself, and have tried to further others. I guess airsoft is not a sufficient space for this... And mr kong, don't you blah blah me because now i'm out to get you. beware, death is now upon you (no real threats involved, but I am gonna give you a can'o'whoop@$$ on you!) BEWARE!

Airsoft isnt the sport yes its a military simulation sport, but there is no way to physicly simulate hand to hand without someone getting hurt, we have enough trouble keeping people safe as it is . also you cant even fake threaten Mr_Kong or his angry posse of believers will be on your doorstep in the matter of minutes

Ok seriously people, this has a gone far enough. 固体ヘビ hand to hand combat in airsoft is completely useless, let alone dangerous and criminal in most circumstances, period, end of discussion. also, please refrain from talking **** about other people on the board, especially someone like kong, who is a decent sort and has a good reputation as a good person.

now, the rest of you, yes he made a mistake in posting this thread and probably deserves a LITTLE bit of response to prove the point. but, your comments have stepped accross the line in several respects. so leave it be and please stop flaming and posting in this thread.

固体ヘビ, that isn't the point. This thread is over, the question has been answered and you choose to complicate it further by attempting to post a symbol with many meanings. To most that symbol means oppression, racism and bigotry. Even if you are a re-enactor, you should not post things that will cause you to get banned or worse. once again, mods, please lock or delete this thread.

There is no way, to ever have hand to hand combat in a legal airsoft event.

funny thing is my big bro is an officer, too. Blue Ash Police dpt, OH. Man this did NOT turn out how I expected. As for "sharing" the field you wouldn't have to worry about that, I'd be a sniper and well ahead or behind you. As for racism, I hate it and everything about it. WW2 has become past and all about it is over. Many peopel HAVE been scarred, mentally and physically by that war. When I am in the field I am quite a different person. I own an apology for anyone I have offended. This REALLY sucks. My first day in airsoft ohio and I have the whole forum against me, lol. Thats a record I betcha. Anyoen ever play www.lotrplaza.com ? Great game, hard to earn points but the forum is great. Och, I feel awful right now. You ppls have given me indigestion! I am the grand duke of constipation! Oh and for those who can't read japanese the name means Solid Snake. The thing I was going for in this thread was trying to get all I can from airsoft, to make it as realistic as possible. Funny thing, I have a cousin named brittany and she walked into a room and just POP POP! shot me twice on the bare skin, OW! I was bleedign and I had to dig the BB out with tweezers. WHO in their right mind would invent a sporting gun with that capabilities...? Oh and some mod just lock this thread plz.

Your bro is a police officer, your uncle is in the Marines, blah blah. What are you? A 14 year old with an over-eager desire to hit people, or so it seems.

I'd be a sniper and well ahead or behind you.

I doubt at least the first half.

While your intentions may or may not be honorable, this sport needs to stay a safe sport if it's going to stand any chance of surviving. While having small shadow fights might sound kinda nifty, there's absolutely no safe or positive way to implement that into airsoft, where you can never know what kind of people you're playing with or be able to keep tabs on everyone at once. It's hard enough keeping people safe when just using airsoft guns, let alone bringing fists into the equation.

We all have to understand ????, he's only 14, and is obviously in the "oh, I can take ANYONE" phase.

And ????, It's interesting how you seem to have a story about your family to back up each threat you've made. Also your idea of H2H in airsoft would never work, simply because there would be too much rage involved. I've seen how people, myself included react when somebody doesn't call themselves out after being shot, I could only imagine a 14yr old kid trying to drunken monkey punch Loki in the face, and then he TEARS THEM LIMB FROM LIMB, or worse. Although it would be quite amusing to watch, it would not be very safe.
