Painting over Orange

Just got a springer UHC MP5sd, and i kinda wanna paint over the orange.
any suggestions for a paint that isnt shiny black, wont ruib off, and will dry evenly?
any specific painting methods that you suggest?

oh and by the way im not getting rid of all of the orange, i am leaving it on the suppresor part, i just want the orange on the end of the grip gone.

For my KJW M9, I just went to Meijer and bought some Matte Black modelling paint. Did the job perfectly.

(Oh, just find it where the model cars/planes/whatevers are in the store)

thats actually the direction i was leaning in, but i wasnt sure it would work well.
