I'm making this thread so people can share what they think is the best place to go to on vacation. also because I'm bored so whatever.
My best vacation ever was when I went to Naples, Italy. The food was so good that it still makes me wonder why I live in Ohio now.

Southview Cottages, Rice Lake Ontario Canada is the best place to go on vacation. Basically you can fish, ski, eat, and enjoy a beer and thats about it. Greatest place if you just want to get out and relax.

Boy Scouts have led me to some amazing adventures in the outback. For all you scout out there will immediately recognize the names of Sea Base, Norther Tier and the Mecca of scouts and scouters alike, Philmont. Personally the three best vacations I had ever taken we to each of those destinations.

My summer vacations have been the best. Just today I swam across the Olentangy river and did a whole bunch of stuff I never thought I would do. Suburban life is the greatest life you could have :).
northern tier is the best vacation i ever had. I went on that when i was a boy scout.
The best place to vacation i would say is west Virginia

dale hollow lake kentucky, my familys got a camper and boat down there, we go down there so much during the summer. you either sit around the camp fire all day or float around in the lake all day then go jump off 50 foot cliffs into the water.

San Francisco is one of my favorite places to visit. I have an Aunt and Uncle who live out there, so I try and make it out whenever I can.
The food there is great.

My wife and I lived in Germany for three years. We went all over. My two favorite countries were Italy and Spain.
I too have no idea why I now live in Chillicothe, OH. Thanks for starting this thread. I am going to shoot myself now.

St. Croix US Virgin Islands. It was extremely beautiful and not so touristy. It was really nice. Stayed at the Buccanear. The diving was simply breathtaking. I was getting advanced open certified so I was a little occupied underwater, but if your certified dive with SCUBA.
I currently am in Richmond, Virginia, on my way to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. They have always been my favorite place to go, and hopefully this year will be just as fun as it always is.

I love the outer banks, going there again next month. The old sea foam motel in nags head is the best.

Outer banks, make sure to eat at the Black Pelican.
Is that the one on Ocracoke? Or am I thinking of the Pelican with no Black before it?

I went to Tahoe once. Basically we just passed by. It was May and there was snow on the ground. That was not somthing I wanted to see because I was visiting San Francisco at the time. By the way if anyone ever goes to San Francisco there a is a good restraunt North of there called Rivers End. It is some of the best food that I have eaten since I lived in Europe. http://www.ilovesunsets.com/home.html it's a nice place to go. Expensive but it is nice

I went to this place called Sunset Beach on Shelter Island, which is off of Long Island. Near the Hamptons. Stayed for a week. It was awesome. Hot sand, hot cars, and even hotter models. Yes, I said models. American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie, you name it. The hotel looked out on a beautiful beach (the rooms were awesome, too). The water was great and crystal clear. And an awesome hill to go speeding (yes, I mean going over the speed limit) on bikes. And a sailing club! Next time I'm going to rent a boat (probably a Sunfish, which is what I have). Pretty much everything I want in life (except the lack of an airsoft field, but last time I checked airsoft is illegal in New York).

No, it isn't nude beach. The hotel is inspired after European beaches, which as many of you know: European beaches=nude beaches.

Myrtle Beach off season is pretty good, just don't be there when schools are on summer vacation. Is there any part of the outer banks where they let you swim in the ocean? I also like the solitude of nighttime on the Gettysburg Battlefield.

I was at Gettysburg Battlefield two weeks ago. It was during the day though. At night it must be "unsettling".

Very "unsettling," but I'm into the paranormal so it was great.

Did you see any ghosts when you were there? The Devil's Rock (I think tat's what it is called) is really cool.

No apparitions, I think you mean Devil's Den, I heard a lot of running and some shouting and screaming there. If you want to know more, hit me up on PM

I found that it costs too much to go on vacation, that money could be better spent on more airsoft stuff.
but when I do go on vacation I find it quiet fun to go to emerald isle NC.

Also the Upper Penninsula in Michigan is cool (I drove by Ann Harbor on the way there and waved my OSU hat around). DC is pretty cool, but it smells. And New York City is awesome.
