You Tube and airsoft

You tube and airsoft. Like Scottish football fans and beer. Not good mixtures. I was on You tube looking at all the dumb things that people post about airsoft. If you want to know why people don't like airsoft just go to you tube. Here just look at this video and you'll see what I mean. (Just so you know. The people in this are real idiots. Along with stuff like that. you get really wierd things like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_WqZmuJ90A quite frankly if you are not smart enough to figure out how to load a gun by yourselft. you should NOT use them. Just a thought. I love how he calls it quote "point 44 magnum" as opposed to it's real name a 44 caliber magnum or just 44 magnum (or for you cybergun haters out there garbage)

Your totally right. Someone really needs to make up for it and post some awsome videos. I saw one where the idiot kids actually practiced martial arts and throws as part of airsofting....creepy.

I know you are making a valid point, but I think we all agreed to ignore worthless you tube videos. It's the least we can do to better airsoft.

I like how in this one they have all this great gear (sort of), but don't seem to mention goggles. or camoflauge.

Think of the energy you are wasting on being mad at stupid stuff posted on You Tube. If you don't seek out stupidity to point it out to others, then you will be far more happier in life.

Also, think of the source of videos. What did you expect, intelligence?

At AirsoftForum.com I have long enforced a ban on the posting of any Youtube or Google videos of stupid people doing stupid stuff with airsoft guns.

I know it's naive of me, but I hope that by attempting to lessen their audience, they might stop making such videos.

The up side is that youtube has made it possible for people like me to host streaming videos of better quality than I could using my own server to host my videos.

As we all know, in all things, you can never have one without the other.

it inspires me to do some minor work on a better mini and rig it up to defend doorways/halls... use an rc car remote so i can wirelessly fire it. it wouldn't be hard to do, and it would cost maybe 20$ with MUCH better results... and no wires to the controller.

if anybody is interested in plans i can sketch them up for you and pm them. i already made a remote detonator for airsoft grenades... this wouldn't be hard to do either.

I think you may have misunderstood my point.

The reason I don't condone posting of youtube stupid airsoft tricks, is to prevent the creators of such videos from feeling justified by their massive view count. For ever person who views the stupid airsoft videos, thats one more reason the video creator may think he should try making another one.

If they don't get the views, they don't have a reason to keep making the videos. Many of them could care less if you call them stupid for what they did, they just want to rack up a view count. If you stunt their view count by not propagating the stupidity, then they may just give up.

I've seen a lot of crazy videos on Youtube. Most of the time it's videos kids make of their "cool" airsoft gun. I have seen some good videos on the other hand and some really need skirmishes. I guess you both ends of airsoft if you know what I mean.

I have a problem with quality issue...

Now on the other point... there will always be idiots out there. As parents are idiots so most likely are their offspring and so on and so on.... It is also called Natural Selection as some of these morons will probably not make it to their adult span...

Well I think we also have to attribute the spread of these videos to the comments that people place on You Tube. For all we know the creators only reason to make those video was to annoy and piss off people. I agree that the view count will also cause them to make more. You also have to remember that these are people that you have never met most likly. You have no clue what thier goal is.

Also battlepriest. I agree with you for the most part. Videos do help spread the bad ideas in them. I just think that on this site most of us arn't dumb enough to copy them
