If any of you havent heard, our very good friend and role model Paris Hilton was just transferred from jail to her own home for unknown "medical" reasons, which I think consists of constant crying and whining. The press feels so bad for her.....awwwwwwwww. Im tired of this and for lack of better words I have absolutely no sympathy for her.

The first thing i though of when i heard "medical reason" was that she had some STD flare up and had to go home. I don't know how people can feel sorry for someone who's dumb enough to get caught breaking probation. I really can't stand the girl because everytime she talks I can feel myself getting dumber from just having listened to it. I don't know how any parents could let their kids look on her as a role model. She got all of her fame from having the best selling celebrity sex video of all time, thats not exactly something to be proud of. I think the medical staff was afraid she'd give all the inmates herpes after threatening to have sex with them all. Or maybe "jail cooties" were so bad that she flipped out and had to seek some kind of medical treatment. On a pv (probation violation) 5 days is the average time spent in jail. The house arrest for 40 days was a little harsh. Its a sad fact but especially in California there is a huge issue with jail overcrowding. She was in protective custody because the inmates were threatening her life. Where she was at there are very few protective custody cells. Maybe that had some delightful character like a murderer, rapist, or child molester that had to go in there. There are a lot of variables. If we were that young and that rich, how many of us wouldn't be out there partying all the time? There are plenty of people who have multiple DUIs and have never spent a day in jail. I am not a Paris Hilton fan, but don't feel she deserves all of this name calling. There are people out there who have done much much worse, and don't get punished that much.

I totally disagree. I apologize for keeping the thread live, but it bothers me when ppl see the media coverage and assume its all truth.

1) She works, therefore she earns her income. Regardless of what her shows/movies/music entails; whether it be a show doing w/e she wants, or a movie, she's making her own money. Thats more than alot of Americans do. And she's successful at it. Will she dissapear from the spotlight? Maybe, maybe not, but she'll be able to retire way before she's 60...which is better than most Americans can do. ----THIS is Factual. Where are your facts that she sleeps around for her cash?

2) An active "social"(trying to keep it clean) life? Who doesnt have one, or want one? 2) Before you posted your 3 days out of 45 days, did you do any court case research before hand? No you did not, its all public records, i suggest you see how many ppl actually serve their sentence. Front Page news, convicted.. 10th page news, release.
3) Rich ppl and famous ppl get their own cells, why? Same reason they have body guards and unlisted phone numbers. If you cant figure out the turmoil that would cause the prison, then dont make it one of your points. Do you really want all of your inmates in contact with her? You assume that my opinion of her trashiness is based on how the media protrays her. She's trying to keep it clean, despite the fact she makes numerous irresponsible and wreckless decisions that can have a negative impact on those around her. Again, I have a daughter and many girls look up to her for whatever reason. Doesn't it set a bad example to them that this is the way you should behave?

Yes. But she has chosen to break the law further by driving drunk and then driving on a suspended license. She displays a clear patter of irresponsible behavior. She then goes on to establish behavior that totally disregards the laws and safety for our society. She is a criminal and belongs in jail. I believe drinking and driving is wrong because I have lost family and friends to drunk driving and feel that those who do the same should be punished. Drunk driving is a serious problem in America and every effort should be taken to prevent it.

Fox this isnt about ignorance, its not even about the fact that she broke the law. This Thread was clearly about how ppl do not like her because of what they see. This was about ppl saying how bad she sucks in movies and yet probably dont have 10% of the income she has. My whole approach on this was trying to get ppl to back off and be quiet. Personaly I dispise paris hilton just because so many people find her as an idol. I am against idol worship so that would be why. I agree though that she has some talent. Just because she ends up in sucky movies doens't mean she is a bad actor. Here's an example. If you take the 1996 version of Romeo and Juliet (which i really hate) and changed Dicaprio out for a better actor than the movie would probably be rated about the same. It is the script that decides how good a movie does. One actor can not change the entire "pleasability" of a movie. I am not saying your wrong Mavrick, but I will say that her getting the role based on acting skills isn't necessarily why she got the role. I am sure many people, like my sister, only saw the movie for her. They knew she was "hot right now" and MAY have hired her based on that. Thats dead wrong as well. She is spoiled rich. And about your comment how people probably are not worth 10% of what she is... I'm probably almost equal to how much she is worth over all. My family owns 2 of the largest oil companies in North America in their respective industries. However, If I was pulled over and got a DUI - I would be in jail.

Why? Easy, because my parents wouldn't try to buy me out. I ****ed up, they know it. Easy as that. In youngstown court systems I could probably get bought out of it, it's how youngstown is. However, my parents wouldn't because - I am not spoiled like that *****. Easy as that.

I think that it would be hilarious if she got her a** kicked the first day she came in because I could care less. Instead of putting her in house arrest in her MANSION... they should lock her in a Motel 6 or Family Inn. Also when she gets out she has NOT learned a lesson and is going to accidentally kill somebody in a drunk driving accident and people will be saying, "Wow, maybe time in jail would have been a good idea even if she was crying because someone as rich as her is not used to jail."
