Glock 19

I'm planning on getting the Glock 19 with a Metal Slide and Outer Barrel. I know that I need a new Recoil Spring and Recoil Guide Rod to handle the weight of the slide. My question is are those easy to put together by myself or do I need someone to do it for me? I was also planning on buying a high flow valve and new hammer spring for power. Are those also easy to install?

Another is what exactly does the Hurricane Valve Set For The Glock 19 contain?

the KWA G19 metal slide version I must presume comes pre-upgraded. i've never had a problem with the guide rod or the recoil spring. The gun works perfectly fine stock with the metal slide and barrel, and I've never heard otherwise.

not sure about the hurricane kit.

I know how KSC/KWA are similar but I'm getting a KSC Glock 19 if this helps at all

The recoil guide rod and spring are probably the two easiest things to replace. All you do is field strip the gun, push the guide rod forward, then pull it back up and out. Take off the rubber washer on the front (the spring will probably shoot off, but that's ok, you don't need that spring anyway). Put your new spring on the new guide rod, put the washer back on and reinsert.

I've never tamperred with the hammer spring or vavles on my glock 19, so I can't tell you from experience. But the word on the grape vine about the hammer spring is that it's a serious pain in butt to install. If you're mechanically inclined, then give it a shot. If you're not quite sure what the difference between that wrench looking thingy and a hole in the ground is, then you might want to be a little hesitant to try it.

If you where getting a KWA G19 you will not have to upgrade the spring/rod. But i just read on Redwolfairsoft.com that the new version of the KSC G19 will have to have the rod/spring upgraded..

Oh really? When is that KSC Glock 19 coming out? That way I'll just need to get a metal slide and barrel and it's a done deal.

Alright I decided i'll buy the KSC Glock 19 from airsoftmarine with the included metal slide and barrel. I'll then buy the recoil spring guide from uncompany. Here is the link http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=1329
Does that recoil spring guide include a new spring too? I'm a little bit new on gas guns.

My best guess would be that it came with the recoil spring, after all the name was G&G Recoil Spring 1. But anyway, out of experience I believe the stock recoil spring is strong enough to handle the metal slide. Even if that's not the case this time, they called it "Glock 19 with metal slide and upgrades installed" I suppose they would make sure it functions correctly with what they give you.

Personally, i'd just go for the KWA Glock 19. Same performance, just lacks a trigger safety and trademarks :P But airsoftgi.com has it for cheap.
