Had a great time today!

First off, major props to Ariel and Sam for an awesome event. Great reffing also.

Secondly, Congratulations to Phil and his deceptively clever flag return in the final game.

Didn't see too many problems with cheating, except the boundaries on the side of the Hoochie may need to be marked and decided upon.

Fun Demolition game. Guarding a backpack full of bricks has never been so fun. :)

Thanks to Airsoft Arms for being there with some much needed supplies.

Great Event. Good weather. Can't ask for more.

Anxious to see the photographs and footage of today!

GO NON ARMBANDED TEAM! :P

Great game. I probably had the most fun at this event than any others (no offence to organizers of the other ones). Can't wait for FT4.

Fun day for sure- felt a little old school with my tommy, but good to get a game in with all the guys. Props for the well-ran event (mostly on time!) and liked the games, especially the sniper's alley one (good cover, movement...just a little faster- and Red, yes we heard your yelling lol). Can't wait for FT4, for sure. Non-Armband ftw!!
MAN... I was two numbers off of that CA36K... oh well, my friend won it anyways.

Yeah great event finally an event where it was cold, rainy and muddy!

i had a great time except for both of my guns getting FUBAR at the end.

my magnum PI pistols kills at the end are what made my day (five!!)

and dinner afterwards with the rest of the 91st, glaeken and loki was a good time.

great event guys!!!!

P.S
id love to see those pics soon i saw a lot of camera men out there today.

I didn't expect it, but I had a great time today. Even with the large crowd, the games ran smoothly. Thank you to those who put on the event. Fran Bar moved back up one notch on the fun list.

Had a blast! 5 Surrenders total for me, which is a record. I met a few new people, and caught up with a couple of friends. It was great to see everyone out there again.

Well ran event by Sam & Ariel. Absolutely no problems with reffing or organization, except for a little confusion at the beginning of the demolition game. That was but a teeny factor, so all in all, it was ran VERY well. Good job with checking guns in the tunnels quite frequently - It saved a lot of us some huge welts.

We had some pretty good sportsmanship with the surrendering in the tunnels, though when RADAR & Myself were in there trying to surrender a few guys, there was a lot of confusion, but that wasn't a big deal.

Good job No-armband team. I was a little dissapointed in the Sniper Vs. Others game, because we should have taken them out a lot quicker or moved up a lot faster. Thanks for putting up with my loud mouth :D .

Thanks to the guys who tagged along with the 91st, we had a blast hanging out with you guys. I hope to see some interesting video footage of my lazy *** trying to make an advance in the speedball course, only to get shot at by Sam, having to hit the deck, trying to slide on the ground, only to stick right where I was. That should be funny to see!

Props to the guys in the upper levels of the kill houses who kept on keeping us pinned in the first game of the day.

Sounds like an awesome event. I had wanted to make it up there to get some sweet photos but Columbus is too far away and I don't have enough money to pay for gas.

Though I did play and take photos of... *cough* paintball *cough*.

That was the best Fran Bar game since Crimson Dawn.

For those of you who dont know me, I was the one in the tropical floral camo.

I had a blast! The day started off interesting. I had my G3 set up to shoot 380, but it ended up shooting 435! I made a sling out af duct tape and a back pack sling so I could use my 1911.

The snper game was awesome. I think I got around 9 during that round. The fort we built was sweet. Fran bars dilapidated buildings did come in use.

My dad got quite a bit of video, but it is more of home video than anything. I might try to post pics later.

Stew, you can run with us anytime.

Thanks, Hooch and CC!

i had a lot of fun at this event, the most since OP: Bermuda a year ago down in southern ohio, and that one was on a field witha amazing terrain and features. you guys did a GREAT job running a very large fran bar event. the only think i would have done is throw in a more complicated scenario in the afternoon, but thats ok because this one was geared towards trigger time.

thanks go out to crimson, hooch, glaeken (as usual) and especially the juggernauts. i had a great time playing with you guys. you guys are fun, generous, and helpful, even if your football team is 2-30 in the past 3 years :p.

i had a great day, with only 6 (3 defending demo, 2 central flag, 1 friendly) deaths and including the pickup games i played maybe 40 kills...

cant wait to see some pics.

btw- the debut of the stew b custom MP5-SD5 RIS was a success (except for a few correctable internal problems :/ )... yup, nobody cares

viva la no-armband (even though phil had no armband when he waltzed into our base at the end with the flag peaking out of a mag pouch.. sneaky sneaky.)

Wow, I agree with everybody, a well put togather event. Thanks again to Crimson Campaigner and Hooch, by the way, I liked your cammo. Everything was fun, even though I put my G36C down because it was making some kind of grinding noise....(I opened it up a while ago and everything was great...maybe something fell off track.....) I just thought it was funny that my G36C went down and they were raffeling a G36K...that would have been nice to win but congrats to the one who one it. And Red, I was sitting in my friends car on the way out and I got to watch you trip over and over and over again on the video camera...lol it was funny. Well back on topic, everything has been said, excellent event and I cant wait for the next one. Too bad its another year away. It was nice to meet several of you guys out there, in the case that you dont remember who I am, I was the guy in the BDUs with the mohawk.
Once again, great event, very organized and little down time. I liked it alot!

P.S. I dont see anyone cheering for the armband team, well here we go, *Go Armbands....*

Also, nothing to do with that pic, but does Fran Bar have a fulls seal rule for eye protection? Cause I saw at least one guy in all the pictures, that appeared to NOT have full seal eye protection on in game. (No I will not post the picture.. I'm not about to start that kind of $*@%storm) I'm just curios if Fran Bar requires full seal.

Super fun.

As to my Glock pointing at you a** Red, I just can't resist. This was probably the most fun I have had at Fran Bar in a while now. I enjoyed the speedball games, they were a nice change of pace.

As to the guy who was talking about lost things, someone found a Beretta mag during the sniper game, and I saw a CA M16 w/ RIS sitting on top of a tube on the speedball course (not sure if that was yours).

Had lots of fun, just the right number of people came.

The smallest lowest profile set of OTG goggles I have found are the Bolle X500. They claim the Bolle X200 are OTG for small frame glasses.

http://www.opticsplanet.net/bolle-x500-over-the-glasses-goggles.html

That is the X500 ski model, there is also a X500T "tactical" model that comes in black with muted brand lettering...(That's the set I have) The only place I found it is UNcompany here:

http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=2380

I have a review of MY X500Ts here:
http://airsoftspecialists.com/reviews/Bolle/X500T.htm

Those are the best I have found for OTG...

I actually don't use my X500's any more since I got my WileyX CQCs and wear contacts.

Hope that helps... sorry for taking the thread off topic... but I always do my best to point out eye protection issues and help solve them when I find them.

I'd like to talk about this photo for a minute. I don't know who this guy is, but his actions merit special mention. After he jumped that log, he ducked behind a bunker right in front of me. I told him, "Man, I got a great shot of you just now." Unfortunately, I chose my words poorly, and he mistook me to say that he got shot while running/jumping. Taking me for my word, despite not having felt a hit, he started to call himself out. I quickly corrected him of course, but I was impressed with his character. It takes a real stand-up guy to call a hit based solely on someone else's observation. So whoever you are, nice job! May you be a role model for others.

Disclaimer: Acknowledgment of the above event in no way implies that his was the only worthwhile action of the day. It was merely the only one I witnessed up-close and personal.

I'm not sure who this is, but looking at the shooting glasses he was wearing, he SHOULD NOT have been allowed to play:

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t259/TheBanker_AO/Full%20Throttle%203/Dscn0801.jpg

No offense to the person pictured, but I saw several photos of different people wearing shooting glasses, and in this photo it is obviously clear that his glasses don't meet AO rules. The community should NEVER make exceptions safety to rules to accomidate players. I hate to be the Safety Nazi, but I'd rather see people being safe than sorry.

Darkstar out.

Banker, the guy's name is Dora. he is a very stand up guy and is the one of the newest additions to the 91st, and we are very proud to have him. His full call sign is Dora the mother fing explorer, don't ask!!!
Darstar, lik ei said, there were a few guys there that had the wire mesh face masks. i was cringing the whole time for them as i did not see anything under the mesh screen. i think that event organizers really need to start cracking down on the eye protection used at events.

Hey everyone,

On behalf of the Organizers and the Referee's, i apologize for not cracking down on the Eye Protection. I, personally, was more concentrated on the FPS of guns in the tunnels and MEDs (due to my past experiences at Fran Bar).

But thank you for bringing this to attention, because improper eye protection can lead to the worst consequence of Airsoft (in my opinion), Blindness.

Also, I hope the person in the picture doesn't feel singled out, there were others doing the same.

Again, sorry for not checking on the Eye Protection... I'll make sure the referees and I will check Goggles at our next event.

And one other thing that is a AO rule and the event was not hosted by the owners of AO so if some one host a event they it is up to the host of the event to decide what to let on the feild you guys do not own Airsoft.

This isn't AIM, or YIM, or MSN, or any messenger PLEASE use the spellcheck, dude. I'm not trying to bash you, but it makes it a LOT easier to read when someone spells correctly.

This is a forum in which people come to get (correct) information and discuss the sport, which includes the safety of it. People are bringing up the fact that they had shooting glasses because it's a bad idea to wear them. No one was pointing a finger, they were simply re-itterating the fact that they're concerned for people's safety, and they believe that people need to tighten down on rules. You're right when you said the users of AirsoftOhio do not own the hobby/sport of Airsoft. We do, however, wish the best for it. We are a large airsoft community and it is OUR job as players to make the sport safer and better. It's OUR responsibility to make sure this sport and hobby stays with us. People who wear improper safety gear and get their eye shot out make this hobby worse off. I never want to see a fellow hobbyist get an injury from this sport because his fellow player didn't take him aside and tell him "You need better eye protection, or you can't play".

If a kid shoots his eye out, it gets in the paper some way or another; the parents sue the owners of the land, the company, etc. In fact, just today someone representing the Columbus Dispatch was talking to someone in the Airsoft community. I won't say who or when (Or what was said. I do not know that part), but it did happen. We need to keep this sport safe if we want it to live on. So, in some aspects, we (the players) do own Airsoft.

Airsoft is a huge responsibility; we should treat it as such.

Most, if not all events posted up onto the AirsoftOhio forums must comply with their safety rules. They can be different, but the standard must be the same, I believe.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Haha, I remember that Flying penguin, though I do have a excuse for why I sent you into the unknown and it's quite simple, you were the only one that would fit through that hole, plus you had a submachine gun.
If it's of any consolation, I felt kinda bad after I heard like 5 AEG's open up, followed by you yelping "hit!!" rather frantically :D

lol, so true. I knew that was why, and it's cool... but I definitely didn't expect to be lit up so fast. I at least wanted a view... there were a TON of AEG's that just started to generally spray in my direction...ouch. Hey, at least you guys got the surrenders, and our team won... that's more important in my book.

And yelling frantically? Yeah... i got nailed maybe 5 times? good times.. :)

Hey Guys,
I know its a little late. But, to improve for OP: Full Throttle IV, I would like to know if the FPS on the Tape on the Guns, and the half sheet hand-outs helped?

Do you think they helped enforce the FPS Rules? Do you think the schedule and the scenarios on the sheet helped the Game run Smoother?

Any feedback would be helpful, Thanks.

Cause that's me. I heard a bunch of shots hit the sheet metal that I was hiding behind, then I felt one very lightly hit me in the top of my head, don't know if I actually got shot or if it was just a ricochet, but I counted it in the interest of good sportsmanship, as we all should do.

I know I got at least one guy (widowmaker, I think) but I was so busy waiting/hiding that I didn't get as many shots off as I wanted to in that game.

I could go for another sniper game.

Crimson, I really appreciated the handout with the day's events and MED's, it helped the day go smoothly.
