I have been looking at the KJW series of gas pistols, and just in researching for the right one for me im wondering if anyone has experience with the KJW Glock 23 i was looking more at the FMV but opinions about either would be greatly appreciated. Right now im thinking about purchasing the KJW Berretta Elite FMV but i have always liked glocks so im just trying to get some opinions Thanks :)

The KJW Glocks are good, the new FMV ones being even better with a Heavy Weight frame and other upgrades. I had the plastic version, and the range and power was less than with my KSC Glock 19, but still good. The fill valve is a big big plus too. My outer barrel broke, which caused the slide not to cycle properly, and the slide broke in 3 places. If you go with the FMV (which I suggest) than those problems will be fixed. You also get a metal magazine catch, and internal upgrades, plus full trademarks on the slide and frame, it's really a great deal. I would have gotten the FMV G23 if I didn't already get my KSC Glock 19. I say go for it, you wont be dissapointed.

The KJW Glock 23, has the same internals as the KJW glock 27, which are both highly looked upon. I am planning on getting the 23 myself once I finish my mp5 projects - simply need a tac grip with light for the a4, and get the g3a3 paid for and started. I would reccommend the FMV defintely, as it can help a GREAT deal on stress, lasting, and other problems that the plastic versions are prone to.

For a review of the 27, which is just like the 23 but different outside frame, checkout:
http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/beta/html/nukebrowser.php?filnavn=reviews/kjw_g27/kjw_g27_review.htm

Just remember, it all basically applies to the 23 as well.

Basically every pistol has them no matter where you go. Thing is, some places will cover it up for legal reasons, other may not, and even if they say they do, sometiems they wont. It jsut all depends. So you cant guarantee yourself.

Not necessarily. There are KJW Glocks with trades, and KJW Glocks without trades. The only US reatiler to my knowledge that sell the FMV Fully trademarked version is www.airsoftmarine.net You can also get it overseas at WGC and so on.

I own a KJW Glock 23. I love the gun simply for the fact that its convienent and easy to use. I have a nice aluminum metal slide, which makes it a very attractive peice. Its also a good buy for the money; I think you can get them under $100 stateside.

Dan at Airsoft Marine (http://www.airsoftmarine.net/sales/forsale_gas.htm) is selling the full-metal version KJW G23 for $129 shipped with trades. Probably your best bet to find this piece with the trades and metal slide.

I have this piece as well and am happy with it. One suggestion might be to upgrade the piston head with the PDI replacement (http://www.wargameclub.com/pcart/shopper.php?itm=PDI-PT-G26PH_cat_PDI Parts&PHPSESSID=4a222cefe082e02063e4862b7f83d3b4). It definitely helped with reliability.

Would you really need that extra part? I mean wouldnt the one it comes with be fine? It already is preupgraded internally somewhat from what I have read.

ArmyHummer:

Sorry it took so long to reply...

From my experience, as well as two other posters I know of at another site, the original part was of poor quality and would cause an unacceptable amount of jamming. After I replaced the part, this problem went away. I'm not aware that this part would have been replaced by Dan at AirsoftMarine. I would find-out before making that assumption. The upgrades may pertain to other internal items. I mentioned this part in particular as I knew it was an issue with mine and the two other individuals.

Ok. thanks for letting us all know. When i get my 23, I will check into it and see if it does cause any problems of that sort. So that item is saved in my links :)

Thanks

Okay. I did a quick search, but could only find information on KJW m9 and usp mags and what im wondering is about how long of a count i should do when filling my KJW g23. thanks. Also since i cant seem to see this discussed anywhere, what are the dangers of this gas? is it dangerous at all? Like contact with skin and such...

The great thing about the KJW mags is that their valves make an EXCELLENT seal when filling. This is why you probably don't really have any spillage when filling the mag.

Basically, just hold it in there until you can hear it being filled. Once it sounds like its done, it probably is.

Would you recommend getting the KSC Glock 19 (stock, no upgrades) or the KJW Glock 23 Full Metal? I'm going to using green gas. This is why I was leaning toward the KJW because it will probably last longer because it's full metal. So, which do you think would be a better choice for skirmishing? I'll be using green gas. Also, I saw the KJW G23 Full Metal at airsoftmarine.net for $130 or something. My friend said he got his from jungletoy for $105. Is this the right gun and if so why is it so much cheaper than airsoftmarine? Could you just list a few US retailer that sell the KJW FMV? I don't want to do it my self because they sometimes say weird stuff and I can't tell if its the FMV or not. I don't want to end up buying the plastic version. THANX

Hmmmm...Well, here are my choices:

KWA G19 w/ metal barrel and metal slide installed - $120
KSC G19 stock - $65
KJW G23 FMV w/ magazine - $100

I saw the KJW G23 FMV on ebay. Would you recommend getting it since it's on ebay? It is supposedly new and full metal and comes with an extra magazine. Here's the link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3640003735&category=31685

I know that the KSC is the cheapest but since I'm going to be using green gas I'm sort of leaning towards the KJW because I don't want the KSC to break after a year. So which would you choose? Oh yeah, I'm going to buy 3 extra mags (in KJW's case, 2 mags since I already get 1 extra mag). I don't know how much the shipping is from Guns 'N' Guys but if it's like most other international companies ($30) they prices are almost exactly the same. Just keep that in mind. THANX

Where is the world can you get a KSC Glock for $65?

That KJW G23 on E-bay will be around #130 after shipping

Of all listed, the KWA G19 will perform the best, and be the most durable. After shipping it will probably be the same price as the G23.

Which do you think would be the most durable? I'm going to be using green gas. The KSC G19 is 500 HKD at Guns 'N' Guns, also known as $65 USD.
