Not only did I not make it to columbus, but I am now going to have to fork over 700 dollars for a new clutch. The clutch isnt even expensive , the damn labor is 80% of the cost!

You didn't make it to your own game. Classic... :D

I got up this morning with a splitting headache, so I too missed the game. I figure we should hear some good stories floating in...

So that's what happened to you Dr. Death. We were all kind of wondering. Luckily for us Blade took over.
Well, I left today with a few stories. I also now have two fears in life. First: Sock Puppets, Second: a certain heavily upgraded APS2 and the crazy Canadian who pulls the trigger. :D

But seriously I had the best time I've had in a while. My friends and I met two paintballers at the local Taco Bell. They asked if they could see our guns, Which we were more than happy to do. Later we returned to the game, and sure enough the two paintballers were not far behind. I hope they had a good time playing the hostages or whatever they were supposed to be.

But the day was really made for me, when we did the attack/defend game when I was in the two story house. In my opinion it was worth the 2 hour drive AND the $15 just to be able to say I got one of the strikers in that game, but I can't remember who it was. Oh well, I'd best stop babbling. Big thanks goes out to Dr. Death for getting this together, and another thanks to Blade for taking command. ;) I hope to see all of you guys again.

Oh yeah, and I did notice the camera Wallace carried around. I really hope to see some of that footage. Especially the great shots he got of me and about 6 other guys saying: "Crap, how are we gonna get Frank?! Screw it let's just rush him!" Hopefully he got the shot of about 8 of us just running out of cover and spraying the area that we thought he was in. Hehe

Yes, it was a very fun game indeed. I especially liked whenn all the orphans took over the double-decker and Hunter666 and I held up there for about a half hour with me having just a Super 90 shorty and a glock 19. Very intresting scenarios. I just don't like getting shot by that certain APS-2.:)

The 2 guys that held that 2 story shed outta get a commendation, free game or something.

Some really outstanding play by many people. I got to watch (bummer) a couple of games from the sideline and how some people moved and worked together. It was entertaining just watching some of it. Specially the one I metioned first.

Franc and Michel should get a free game or two for stepping in to organize it all too. That was fun, and worth the 5 hour drive. Mostly fun cuz of the people who are playing. Great bunch, varied group, can't beat that.

I would like to start by saying thanks to the organizer for this great event, as he promised, there was a lot of action and not a lot of down time :D The 9am starting time worked just great!

As far as the game now, Thanks to all of you that showed up. It was a lot of fun even if it was still hot and the wood was thick. I would like to apologizes to those that got killed by my APS2. I told her before the game to stay polite and always yell before shooting (as they would do in GOLF) but unfortunately, she is still young and doesn't listen to me all the time :p work in progress as they would say hehe.

But seriously though, I would like to know one thing now. Since we talked about that last week, I would like to know if you think the engagement limit for a sniper gun (being 75ft) is far enough? I know few of you got shot either in the neck or in the head but as most of you agreed it was the only area you were showing, I'm still wondering if something should be changed about it. On my side, I cannot do better than that. I took shots as far as I could.

Two things I also noticed yesterday; no face mask protection and a lot of AEGs upgraded going in the building. Is it the new tendancy or what? we talked about me being one of the only guns over or at 500fps but it rather seems that the mid range gun (350-400) is getting very popular and even more, without control. I saw bruises yesterday that I'm sure, were not coming from me. Is people want to accept it or what?

thoughts?

Well, before this turns into another "engagement limit/safety" post, I know that Punisher is looking at getting a safety council together to discuss this subject. As for me, I wasn't there yesterday, but I really feel that if you know you're going into a CQB game, you shouldn't be carrying anything hotter than 350. Having a gun hotter than that is just asking for a bad engagement. Maybe snipers could be employed, but they'd need to roam with a sidearm so they have a chance to defend themselves up close and not have a close engagement.

It was a perfect day for airsoft, the music was annoying but other than that no complaints.

I thought that the "blow up the bridge" simulation game that wallace monitored was the best. iP teamed up with Striker and went against the orphans for 45 minutes. It had it all as we had to clear the village to get to the bridge. With two minutes left a bum rush was attempted and it went down like the men in blue at Fredericksburg. My complements to the orphans, the bridge is still intact!

Blade to answer your question, I have both goggles and a full face mask, if we are playing cqb and I am going in, I wear the facemask and pull out my GBB as I enter because my AEG is at 380 fps. Now that I have felt the STING of your APS2 in the nose, I will also wear the facemask when you take your APS2 out for a date.

I dont know why, but I was so nervous with the officer that stopped when I was on the side of the road. I know airsoft is not illegal, but I just couldnt help but be nervous...kinda like when an officer follows you in your car...you just keep thinking that any min he is going to turn the lights on....

I actually lost my gun bag and almost just put it on the floor-board of the truck and was going to just cover it with my BDU top, I dont know why I decided to put it in the lock box, but it saved me from some questioning :}

It sounds like it was a great game, im so jealous and pissed. the last thing I need is a 700 dollar bill.

Amazing game. I love the village at Fran Bar, it makes an excellent place to play. The games we played were great. I would have to say my favorite games was the blow up the bridge, i took 3 face shots, but the adrenaline covered up the paine. now i got 3 welts that look like zits.

As for fps in a CQB, I do not see why you can't use a 350+ outside, then just be required to pull out a 350- inside. I worked outside for more than half the hostage game then went inside and used my pistol.

Especially true for the attackers. I think most were careful. Actually I did not even pull the trigger on a lot of people who were 1 foot from the muzzle.

Would have been impossible to work outside and inside if I was stuck at 350 max.

Using visitors for hostages, that was way cool. What a great time for someone just stopping in to check us out. I think they really really enjoyed it and we may have several converts to airsoft. Everyone was really great with them. 'Cept for shooting them, but what the heck. If you can't shoot an unarmed person, what good is shooting.

Hey good playing everyone
i think the best two games were the second convoy mission and the one where me and unrrf_raptor held up it the two story building. in the second convoy mission i froze one guy and killed 5 and i dont think any of them saw me even after i killed them. it was great. and in the building there was one hell of alot of ammo going through the top of that building. the priceless moment of the day is when i froze someone through a 3x5 inch square cut out of the wood.
hey good games to everyone. i am glad i did not get shot with that extremly upgraded aps 2. :p well good games and i hope that wallace posts the pics of the games he was running aroung in.

Hey, hey no one shot the hostage. How? Why? Because I was the hostage!
I have to go, I'll tell the good stuff when I get back!

Sounds like you folks had a good time.

As always Wallace your pictures are worth any amount of wait.

Perhaps the "Caption Contest" needs restarted. Some of those pictures are just dying to be captioned.
For instance: http://www.101easycompany.com/AlbumImage.asp?Folder=20030712&File=SML_3323.JPG

hey guys loved playin with all of you i have to say that the teams vs. orphans was my favorite ,i was in the house yelling various things from eat it to oh sweet irish that was close, but it was awesome, i even got someone with the pistol i was so happy. anywho about hte engagement limit, my gun floats right around 350fps, however when the danger is iminate i whip put the berreta and pray to god someone else does the same. i also think this wa s the most fun ive had at an ao event so far, i relly enjoyed all the senerios and the fact that every team was pretty well matched even if frank was naughty and shot me three times:eek: but what can ya have to admire the guy hes a freakin ghost. also had fun with the speedball games, most fun was killin five guys right away durring the omaha charge great playin with ya'll, just to let ya know i was the guy in the old beat up jacket anf homemade gogles with a fan(woot woot) later all

Hey gents(gentlemen for short)
I had the greatest time at Fran Bar, the STRIKERS are the greatest, very organized. I appreciate those who showed alot of love to me when I was asking some questions. The former Airforce member was the coolest, and the sniper rifle totting guy was the funniest. Even though I cant forget Punisher when I asked him in the first game "where is the sniper on your team?" and he replied, "hes somewhere ahead..what the! you dont even have a weapon..get a gun!" that was the funniest, it brought back lots of memories when I was a grunt in the Marine Corp. I cant wait for the next time I should have my own gear by then. My brother wanted me to thank KAJIKA for the sandwich. And thanks for the rescue. Just remember that when the guy who doesnt have a weapon and raises his hands that means hes the hostage. Oh, shame on the guys who were just relaxing by the bridge men were getting killed out there! LOL

Maverick, it was cool meeting you, and I'm looking forward to seeing you on the fields more often. :) I was Aegis, the Striker on the outside edge of the tunnels with the MP5SD5 you ended up behind when Punisher Blade Snif and I were at the edge of the tunnel working on the 2 story house in the bridge scenario.

As always, I had a great time. Thanks to everyone who showed. Sorry I had to jet out early. Prior engagements. But it was nice to be back in the fields. First game since the accident and I didn't even really notice anything during play, although my back was kinda bugging me afterward. I gotta say though, I had an absolute blast during the 6 strikers versus 24 players with respawns hostage game. THAT was fun. Loki, it was a pleasure holding the right flank with you.

Can't wait for the next event. :) I think I'm back in for full time gamage again!
