Would a BlackHawk balaclava (from jungletoy) provide enough protection to prevent chipped teeth and welts that look like zits (in CQB)?
Also, would it be too hot on the field being black and about 80 degrees?
Oh yeah, I'm only playing against springers.

I know my nomex balaclava was really nice until it got soaked with sweat, then it was unbearable...

well, the blackhawk one is nylon, or would it be better to have this kevlar one?

I have both versions that Airsoft Arms sell (basically the $13 and the $30), and I personally prefer the $13 one, even though it does tend to get a little sticky when wet. I think you should be just fine in 80 degree weather, and it should prevent against those kinds of damage to yourself, especially if it's only springers you're playing against.

P.S. If you are worried about losing a tooth, don't smile! lol

The nomex breathes great, but like anything else, when it's wet it doesn't. So, it traps heat, is harder to breath in, etc. once you work up a damn good sweat.
