Airsoft Ohio presents... Our New Server!!

Hello Everyone,

Long Time No See! I finally came out of hiding (at least for the 5 minutes needed in typing this message) to let everyone know that we have now moved AO from the old, cheap, shared discount hosting place to a professional, managed, dedicated server. This new facility is climate controlled, have multiple peering points, redudent SONET rings, power back-up'ed to the wha-zuuu, blah blah blah... (You get the point - its uber, cool, although also expensive.) Therefore, Hopefully the instability and "slowness" of the old AO is now history. (Except our dedicated server still only have 1 hard drive... when that goes ka-boom we are still SOL. lol)

Anyway, I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your continued support over the years. To me, spending almost a grand per year and moving AO to a dedicated server is only worth-while because of you. So please help keep AO a leading community where knowledge and experience can be shared, and friendships can be made.

Finally, I also wanted to make a special "thank-you" to Locutus, who has been managing the website / domain for us ever since AO's inception. Locutus have put up countless hours with the lousy web hosting from our previous place; designed, coded, and maintained the forms all by himself, and he also spent many personal hours moving AO to this new server. Without him, AO simply will not exist. So, please take a little bit of your time and join me in saying "THANK YOU" to Locutus.

Last but not least, best luck to us all and I am going back to hiding!!

Haha, I got on last night, and saw the little note that said that the site was being moved, I was so excited that I called my teamate at 1 am to tell him..sorry dante, haha. It's running smoothly, except for the spell check...it won't run, and I need it really badly WAHHHH, haha. Great job guys, thank you very much for all of the work and support to the community.

There is one with Loki's face on it. I created it, showed it to him. We both had a laugh at his expense. Then he demanded I remove my left index finger to pay for such sacrilege. AS the alternative was death by ritualistic slitting followed by immediate reduction of rank to 2 stars and banination, one finger is a small price to pay. Besides, I hardly ever play the piano anymore.
