sounds great, are you sure there are no age limits?

That actually hasent been brought up before, however it may be changed before the event. Also when we reliese wavers, there will be an under 18 waver and it must be notorized, or signed by a parrent in front of us.We will check ID on this due to the currently hostile legal enviroment. The age cutoff will most likely be 16 years or older, with attending adults(over18)

This game is going to be running for 12 hours streight, and thus if you intend on attending you must plan accordingly. Most of the teams attending are used to the 12 hour format, and will play, rest and eat in the field.

Takeing a break at this game isint realy an option, doing so will put your team at a severe disadvantage.

The age limit is 16 and up. If you are under 16 and would like to attend you need to get a letter of maturity from the seinor moderator staff, or a member of IMCO, EMS, or Blade from STRIKERS.If you have one from another team not listed, PM me to find out if it will be acceptable.

Thanks for the intrest,

any specs on the field? some pictures would be nice, along with some dimensions and items of interest.

looks kind of fun, but a 12hr game where there are only 30ish registered players may not work IMO.

It is fairly large for the area, however not huge.We may be releseing pics or a map of the field, however that is undecided(you dont always get good intell, unless you get it). There are a few distinct areas: a lightly wooded area that transitions into a half field/forrest , with waist high grass, then back to forrest, and finaly to a swamp and back to woods on the far end. Roughly 1/3 of the field is across a river that we have built two bridges to corss, along with mutple good points to foard it. We wont be discussing anything other than the bridges, as it would give out to much.

There are more people comeing, than listed. Part of this is because they are unsure of conflict, or unsure of the number of team members attending. Also we wanted to keep the game smaller, as it will force people to use small unit team work to its fullest.

We expect some where in the area of 40-50 players total for the game, which is roughly equal to what we had at OP : FC.Currently we are at 35 regestered players, with several more groups attending.

I personaly hope for a turn out of somwhere in the area of 60 players, not includeing event staff(12+) who will be participateing as a shadow element.

We want the game to go hard and fast for the first 6 hours or so, which wont tire people out as much as springfield would, as there are no hills, then slow down as the night comes. With the arrival of the night we are expecting more static defense, along with night vision aided lone wolf attacks.

As far as I can see, there are over 50 players registered at the moment, and there's still a month before the event actually takes place. I think the event will work great, especially because, as Kingmob stated, the majority of teams attending are used to the 12 hour format.

Just a reminder, please post, when you have decided if you are comeing to the event. Also remember to state what team you plan on attending as.

just asking because i know FC was done at about 2.30 due to the US side plowing through the objectives. all i want to know is since this is a decent drive will it actually be able to last that long?

So far we have the objectives planed so that there are a solid mix of one shot and time based objectives. When we decided to make this a 12 hour game, we also made it so that it was not possible for one team to aquire a massive number of points instantly.

Keep the Q' comeing, I'll answer them as best I can with out giveing away to many details.

Why don't we just have an AO contingent and say that is our team?

Also, I would be in the need of a ride if I am able to attend.

KM3, I think all you are going to pull from AO is the young guys, because all of the senior members will be at Irene.

I will most likely be going.

master_tiitled, I fear that I have made an error in my statement. Instead of stating that all senior members will be attending Operation Irene, I should have stated that most of the senior members ect. ect. I stand corrected.
