Hey I have been readin more into the mp5 sd3 which is on its way here(to my house) and it says the hop up is set for .2g bb's....NOW I have read multiple reveiew and some people who used .12's through the gun stated even though it have avery overpowerin lift after 35-40 ft range(some on this site have told me that as well) but it never jammed on them...HOWEVER other said that everytime they used a .12 it jammed, what is everyones outlook on this and what do I do if a bb' jams in a airsoft gun......I have had other guns jam on me but never an airsoft....so info would be helpfull as to would it jam/ how to fix it.

THANKS,
Air

Don't use .12s in the mp5, they will be horribly in accurate and fly up like you read. Just use .20s, they will be very accurate and hardly affected by the wind, while .12s will fly everywhere. If the gun jams, just take out the mag, and shake the gun, maybe cock it a few times. It's usually that simple, it just means you die in battle. I haven't had any damaging jams in any of my guns, just use the recomended bbs. The mp5 should never jam at all with .20s.
EDIT: Unless you get a lemon.

Well, I'm one who said the MP5SD3 jammed on me. I think it was just a lemon or something, I dunno, it seems to jam on me, but it doesn't with my friend... just my gay luck. But anyway, it jammed on me with both .12's AND .20's. Most people have no trouble with the gun, so i guess i'm just unlucky. That's okay though, cuz i've got 2 HFC M-16's and an Enfield L85A1 to replace it, so i don't really need the SD3. Well anyway, I hope you don't have any stupid luck like mine with the SD3 when you get it. Good luck.

No, I didn't. I just sold it to my friend because for some reason when he used it, it wouldn't jam. I dunno what the hell... that's retarded.

I wouldn't worry about the bbs. I have used several SD3's, and none of them have jammed. As far as the hopup effect on 0.12's, it happens, but don't worry. We used to play in a warehouse, and even with the backspin getting to the bbs, the SD3 was the most powerful and most accurate gun out there...

So use whatever bbs you want, as long as they are clean, and don't have ridges, flat spots, or dimples in them. If they are decent quality bbs, they will work fine in the gun.

As to jamming in general, all you have to do is remove the magazine, shake the gun, put the magazine back in, and start shooting. Just remember to pull the spring down on the mag while you remove it, or you'll die in a shower of bbs...
