How to Create a New Link in the Links Section

To create a new Link in the Links Section, please follow these steps.

At the top of the Links Page, click "Add a link" or you may click on this link (http://www.airsoftohio.com/links/links.php?action=add_link) to take you to the same page.

It is important you choose the correct category to classify your new link.

First, Select the Category from the drop down menu. This will determine which section your link will go into.

To determin whether or not you specific link belongs in any of the other sections, please refer to these requirements.

Airsoft (Ohio) Retailers - this section was done as a courtesy to Ohio Airsoft Retailers and Players. It is designed to encourage the support of local Ohio Airsoft Retailers. This section is reserved only for Ohio Airsoft Retailers. Please provide the city in which you are located. If you have a storefront, please gie the physical location along with store hours, if possible.

Airsoft Fields - this section is dedicated to established fields which host and support airsoft events. Please give your location (city, state) followed by the type of facility you have available.

Airsoft Information & News - this section is designed for the hobbyist sites which host members which may not be associated with a specific state, region, or country.

Airsoft Organizations - this section is for state, area, regional, and national websites. PLease include information about the area, state, etc. you cater to.

Airsoft Retailers - This section is dedicated soley to Airsoft Retailers - retailers must sell a reasonably substantial amount of airsoft products to be included in this section. Please include your location and a breif description of your services. One Link only, please.

Airsoft Teams - This section is dedicated to the individual airsoft team sites out there. Please provide your location along with a description of your team. Please keep the descriptions civil.

Gear Retailers - This section is dedicated to the Gear Retailers - retailers who specialize in tactical gear or clothing for airsofting and shooting accessories.

Manufacturers - This section is dedicated to the actual manufacturer's sites for airsoft, airsoft gear, and accessories.

Technical Documents & How To's - this section is dedicate soley to help guides and articles for airsoft gun maintenance. Please provide the host for this site as well and the name of the article.

zz Links Moderation - this section is only to be used for the links to the help documentation for the Links Section (this article).

Now type in the name of the website. Please do not type in the address (url) but the official name of the site.

For Example:

Team Strikers or Striker's Team Page would be a good one.

Ity is extremely important you get this part right. The easiest way to do this is by opening the actual page in another window, selecting the main page's address (url), copying it, and then pasting it into the Website Url box.

Be sure it is the complete address - http://www.strikers.com as partial addresses may not open properly.
Be sure you donot double up on the "http" prefix or it may also cause problems - it's usually best to delete whatever is currently in the box and replace it witht eh complete address (url).
If it still doesn't work, don't worry. Post a request to have the link editted by Admin inthis thread (http://www.airsoftohio.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11123).

In this area, please fill in as many details as your are able about this site, the type of information, possibly the location, etc.

If you are a retailer or are linking to a retail site, fill in as much information about the services and products. You must include the location information, as well.

Keep in mind you are limited to 200 characters, total. So it may be necessary to simply include the basics.

Once you have completed the required information, check and double check to make sure everything is there.

Then you may press the Add Link button to submit this link.

The link will appear in the Category you have selected.

If you need to have it moved to another or are having problems getting the link to work properly, contact Admin in the aforementioned thread to request it be corrected.

Accidents do happen and as long as you let us know you need to have an accident fixed, you will be fine.

Please do not post your link in the Ohio Airsoft Retail or zz Link Moderation Section without prior approval. This is to insure that items go into the proper sections and allows them to be verified.

The Ohio Airsoft Retailer Section is reserved for Ohio Retailers as this site is dedicated to Ohio Players. If you want your store to be included in the top section, you will need to move your business to Ohio to open up shop.

I apologize for this, but living in Ohio and Serving the Ohio Airsoft Community does have a few perks. ;)
