Ok, as you all know,spring guns work with springs. So what if someone took a spring shotgun and put a spring that made the fps like 1000 speaking hypothetically, what could be damaged in the gun, wat other drawbacks besides really hard cocking would there be?

Uh, besides the fact that you wouldnt be able to play at any field, it would technically be considered a firearm, and that you may kill someone with it, I cant think of any :rolleyes:

Im not even sure if you can get a spring that powerful. And like vbtb110 said you would probably kill eachother with somthing like that, even if you could get it that strong.

You would have to have extremely strong parts to hold it together or the inside would explode. This would probably cost just as much if not more than the lawsuit you would have to pay after you shot someone with it..

Theres an FPS limit? Besides paintball guns have 1000 or more fps and people dont get killed from that. Oh and I hope you guys know i mean an airsoft shotgun right? Not a real one.

Would you like to be hit by a cat going 300 Fps, or a plastic BB. Both will wound, or kill you. Here is a tidbit of information. Out in space, there are little tiny pieces of dirt and other crap, a lot smaller than an Airsoft BB. Those things are moving roughly 1000 fps. Those little pieces of dirt can decommission a satellite, or rupture through the goddamned space shuttle. Have you ever seen pictures of playing cards, and pieces of straw, that were blown around by a tornado, and ended up piercing through telephone poles. They were moving slower then a plastic BB going 1000 fps.

1000Fps is ****in fast. ThatÕs 681.804 Miles per hour. That is almost as fast as the speed of sound at sea level. And besides that it's just not safe.

Sorry everyone, just got home from work, I would have got this sooner.

Locked, I'll delete this in a day or so, and just for the record, no, paintballs don't shoot 1000 fps, often they shoot 350 or less, its their higher wieght that gives them more momentum than a BB.

Just wanted to get that out there... :D
