Airsoft Ohio Map

I started a Frappr map for ohio airsofters. A few people helped me test and it it looks like it should work well for us. Check it out at the URL below and add yourself to it if you want. I added markers for field, both private and public, and airsoft stores, so let's help each other out and mark any stores or fields we know about.

Can we put our selves on the map even if we don't live in ohio?

Technically, there's nothing stopping you from adding yourself if you're outside Ohio. If you put a marker for California, however, I might remove it.

What we could do, later on, is make this a national map, and send the URL to other airsoft forums all over the country, but for now let's keep it local.

cool. might be best to have diff maps for different stuff. keep the airsoft ohio for ohio or just board members. have a national airsoft map for ops/fields and the like. each region can have their own frapper.com/(name). That's just my opinion.

Nice idea.

Added myself. The onny problem I see with this is that not everyone will add themselves so you may or may not get a good representation of who's in your area. Even so, it's better than nothing! :D

read the whole post closely I did state the map idea ,but banker was the one who made it but dont turn this into a falme war if so then pm me

I fixed it. It was odd though, because I couldn't just type Milford, OH, USA. I had to enter 45150, a Milford zip code.

You're absolutely right. The original idea was yours, and you deserve some credit for it. I wasn't trying to hog the spotlight or anything, but if that's what it looked like, than I'm sorry. I just took your idea and ran with it.

it put in me in Johnstown PA, but then when i edited it, it put me in Johntstown, OH along with johnstown PA....help?

actully when i put my entry in, it put me as vienna austria, rather than vienna WV but i corrected, (Some how) yeah he was correct abot who came up with the over all map idea, but it was my idea to use frappr.:o

I think the best approach is to enter your zip code, instead of your town.

Phil, you can edit/delete your markers. Dig around for it. If you can't find it, let me know and I can delete it from the admin screen.

I think the bigger problem right now is people who are trying to add themselves getting the location correct. For instance, in all of my mentally adroit glory, didn't know why I wasn't showing up on the map. Seems that since I just typed in the zip code (44130) I ended up somewhere in Puerto Rico. Oops.
