I would like to announce the opening of registration for the next Airsoft Event at which will be held at Red Dragon Paintball in Hamersville, OH. This Operation: Risk type event will take place on Saturday, June 24th and will be an all-day, fun event and teams will be scored on capturing and holding key Control Points (CP’s) located around the field.

I would also like to say that all of the proceeds are going to be used for field improvements which will begin construction as we have the money to build them. I would like as many people to attend as possible to help support the local airsoft community by improving the field and making Red Dragon a truly incredible place to play airsoft! I am looking forward to helping Gary at Red Dragon build new bases, bunkers, and anything else we can afford to build to make this field great!

LOCATION

Officially sponsored by Airsoft Arms, this event will take place in association with Red Dragon Paintball and will utilize every inch of their playing area. This easy to find field is located just north of Hamersville, OH, about 45-50 minutes from Downtown Cincinnati, and a 40 minute drive from our Milford, Ohio store.

GAME RULES

All rules listed here meet or exceed the safety standards created by AirsoftOhio.com. Players are requested to become familiar with established rules prior to the game day. There will be a pre-game briefing to go over all of the rules for the day as well.

KNOW THE RULES

Everybody who plays shall know the rules and obey them. If there are any unclear matters, ask the organizers. In some games, there may be additional rules. In such cases these additional rules are told before the game.

GUN SAFETY

All weapons should have a Barrel Blocker or the magazine removed as an extra precaution when the weapon isn't in use.

EYE PROTECTION

All players, observers (if applicable) and judges (if applicable) will be using appropriate safety goggles in the game and in the vicinity of a game. All goggles must be approved by the game organizers. DO NOT remove goggles during an ongoing game. All goggles will fit snugly against the wearer’s face and should not move during play. It is forbidden to shoot at someone without goggles. A full mask is not required, thought strongly recommended. All eye protection will use be approved using the following criteria:

All eye protection must be ANSI 87.1 1989 Rated OR be subject to testing by event organizers. This test will require the eye protection be shot at point blank range with a rifle shooting at Airsoft Ohio's maximum FPS limit(Currently 500FPS w/.2 bbs). Airsoft Arms will be responsible for any damage that this test may cause to the eye protection.
All eye protection must not have any gaps between the lens/frame and the face large enough to allow a 6MM BB to pass. If the eye protection is not FULL SEALING (meaning NO gaps between the face and lens/frame) then application of this rule is up to the presiding organizer’s discretion
FULL SEALING ANSI RATED eye protection is STRONGLY recommended, and is the only form of eye protection that can be guaranteed to be allowed. If you show up with any other form of eye protection, you take the risk of not being able play.

AIRSOFT OHIO MUZZLE VELOCITY LIMITS

0-350fps (1.14 joules): Full Auto, no minimum engagement distance.

350-399fps (1.48 joules): Full Auto, 25' minimum engagement distance.

400-449fps (1.87 joules): SEMI AUTO ONLY, 50' minimum engagement distance.

450-500fps (2.32 joules): SEMI AUTO ONLY, 75' minimum engagemnet distance.

AMMO LIMITS

All players will have a 300BB ammo limit per scenario for standard AEGs. You may choose any magazine configuration you prefer as long as you DO NOT exceed the 300 round capacity limit. Drum mags, auto-winding mags are not permitted for standard AEGs. Only support weapons may use drum or auto-winding magazines.

Support weapons may carry a maximum of 1000 BBs. Drum mags or auto-winding mags may be used for support type weapons ONLY! This will be strictly enforced. Ammo limits are designed to simulate an “OUT OF AMMO, RETURNING TO BASE” scenario and not to purposely hinder game play. It is also to reduce instances of “Pray’N’Spray” and will hopefully speed up game play overall.

Carrying BB's onto the field

Players may bring extra BB's onto the field for reloading between missions, however all reloading must be done in your teams base or other secure area. If a player runs out of ammo during the game, they should return to their base and reload, however reloading in the field should be avoided to reduce accidents. Also, Players that leave the field boundaries to reload must return to their base prior to re-entering play. If you leave the field boundries for ANY reason (unless you have received specific instructions and are escorted by one of the scenario leaders), you will be considered OUT until you respawn at your base.

SUPPORT WEAPONS

Support Weapons will be defined as any airsoft rifle which replicates ANY real rifle designed specifically to fit a Light Machine Gun (LMG) Role. Airsoft Replicas such as the M249, MG36, RPK, etc, will have a MAXIMUM of a 400FPS muzzle velocity as they are primarily used for sustained full-auto fire. If the gun Chronos higher than 400, it may not be used. ALL OTHER AEG'S SHOOTING FASTER THAN 400 FPS MUST SHOOT SEMI AUTO ONLY.

SNIPER RIFLES

Sniper Rifles will be defined as any airsoft rifle which replicates ANY real rifle designed to specifically fit the role of a sniper rifle (I.E. No MP5K's converted to a sniper rifle). PSG-1, APS2, L96, Super 9, etc, would quality as a sniper rifle. Sniper rifles will have an established 500FPS limit. The standard AO deviation of 2% will still apply, however guns shooting faster than 500 will be frowned upon.

TAKING YOUR SHOT

All players should aim for center mass, meaning the stomach area. Head shots are strongly discouraged unless the head is the only body part exposed by your target. Please take care to avoid head shots when possible, as injuries may result from head shots.

Please take care when engaging targets at close range (any distance closer than 30 feet). If engaging your target at close range, it is STRONGLY recommended to switch to a lower powered back-up airsoft gun (like a gas blowback pistol) if possible. If you must use your primary gun, please use semi-auto ONLY to avoid spraying someone at close range. When entering a structure or other area where close range combat is extremely likely, players should always switch to semi-auto. These practices increase the safety and fun of all players.

All point-blank shots should be avoided. If necessary, aim for the legs or lower body. Shooting at eliminated players, non-players, and judges or organizers is forbidden.

All blind firing is strictly prohibited. DO NOT take blind shots under any circumstances. Players receiving fire from blindly shot BBs may be subject to otherwise avoidable injury. All shots should be taken by properly aiming at your target. Players seen blind firing will be subject to a detailed explanation and demonstration of blind-fire rules by event organizers in order to further educate them about the dangers of blind-firing.

ALL airsoft safety rules which serve to reduce play accidents were established by many people involved with AirsoftOhio.com. These seasoned players and airsoft veterans spent their own valuable time and money to test different rules to develop the safest possible playing experience for players of all ages. These rules should always be taken seriously and adhered to at all times. Rules are in place for a reason, to keep everyone safe.

If ANYONE has questions about these rules, or would like additional clarifications, please contact us at sales@airsoftarms.com or ask any event organizers at the event.

You know that this is the same day as Op Blind Fury 3 which has over 100 players registered?? I would think that those of us in the ohio airsoft community would try not to step on each others toes by planning events on the same weekends. you might get a better turn out if it wasnt that weekend

This event is for the people that are not going to BF 3, they would be the people who are not old enough, don't have the right mags, or don't want to go/pay $45.

Yes we are aware of this. The events are over 100 miles apart from each other and totally different styles. We don't think our fun event would have any impact on Blind Fury as it is a much larger event that has been posted and planned for months. However our event might be an alternative for those who cannot attend Blind Fury.

Unfortunately the field is only available to us on certain days, and our schedule with running the stores determines when we can hold games, so when those days come together we have to take advantage of it.

I missed the Blind Fury registration, so I'm glad this has come up. Of course, given my vicinity to Red Dragon, it would probably be my first choice anyway.

This isn't a valid argument. You obviously missed the big discusson on these boards last summer about people in different cities holding events on the same day

If you had recognized the obvious differences between the games maybe you could have saved yourself a post.

I've got a soccer game at 9am in Newtown, but I'll book it over to Red Dragon asap. It'll probably be around 11:15 or 11:30, but I'll be there.

I have something to do up until about 4:00, but if youre still there Ill try and make it over.

EDIT: Would I still need to bring the $20, seeing as how Ill just be coming for the open play?

The game will be over at 5pm, and if people want to play afterward they are more than welcome to. But most people usually leave around that time so I don't know if there will be many still playing. As far as field fee's, I'd let you work that out with the fiend owner since you're not really going to be there for the main event.

Darkstar out.

Gumball, I believe airsoftarms usually rents out Classic Army M15's. You might want to contact them directly by PM'ing Darkstar or Locutus to reserve one - they only have a couple!
