define affordable for yourself. reasonably, for airsoft use you're looking for likely between $59.99 and $120+. there is a section in dumbo's faq for taclights. check out ebay and stay away from any LED flashlights, they cannot do what they claim.

scroll down and read dumbo's post re surefire lights. you'll find the info to be somewhat applicable to your situation.

I know all airsoft replicas are slightly different, but I had a hard time mounting any accessories on the rail of my KWC P-99 spring pistol. The beveled (angled) part of my P-99 rail is not at the correct angle to accept accessories. The slope of the angle is too steep and accessories cannot grip the rail.

With that said, I have the BSA laser scope. It cost me $25 at a local gun shop. It is not the best laser, but I am pretty impressed with it for $25. It comes with mounts for weaver or 3/8" rails, the laser, batteries, and a pressure switch. None of these items will serve in a true tactical environment, but the entire set up was sturdy enought to use on my AEG until I could afford a better laser.

My biggest complaint about this laser is that the adjustments are not perpendicular to each other. This make trying to zero the laser very difficult. By not being perpendicular, an adjustment in windage will affect your elevation and vice versa. Once adjusted though I had no problems with this laser.

For $25 I thought this laser was a pretty good deal.

Cobalt and Fragment:

Well, there are now true "tactical" lights (powerful enough to temporarily daze/disorient, lumens/candlepower output above 60/12,000) based on LEDs. Please check:

=)

However, for the time-being, unless you are willing to spend about $130 or so, you will not, as you mentioned, find any LED-based "tactical light" units that will live up to that name.

Unfortunately, like nextmayor said, this is going to be just about impossible.

The reason is because of the proprietary under-frame rail that is provided by the P99's design, which essentially makes this unit only viable for installation of such accessories which are specifically designed for it.

Unfortunately, a Walther proprietary lasersight unit will cost many times the cost of even the Maruzen P99, as you have noticed yourself.
