While at the gun show a few weeks ago they announced an Airsoft event at the next show in Circleville. I'm not sure what the criteria for this event is but I'm thinking that I should check it out. The only airsoft vendors I have seen at a PRO show sell the cheap chinese stuff you see at flea markets, so if some of you guys were to show up with some high end gear you should do pretty well.

I emailed Mike Duve (the guy in charge of the gun shows) and asked him to send me some intel about the event

Here's what the guy said. If you ask me, It dosen't sound like it's worth it.

Dave, you must be over 13, you must have a hand stamp from the gun show showing paid admission $5.00 to shoot, All ladies are admitted free. The shoot is outside the show between the two show buildings under a shelter house. Range is 30 feet.
target is a field of 5 small metal chickens that fall when hit. Shooters get 5 rounds. Score is total of knocked down chickens. Anyone scoring 5 will be backed up 3 feet and allowed to shoot again for tie breaker. Anyone scoring 5 again, will be backed up 3 more feet until a score of less than 5 is shot. so a top score could be 5-5-2 etc.

Shooters may use their own guns. A paper target will be setup for practice.

One prize for best pistol, one for best rifle. open or scopes, must shoot from a standing position, both feet flat on the ground. No rest, sticks etc. Winners will be announced at 3 pm Sunday. Winner need not be present to win.

Hello, I was browsing your site and came across some text stating that
there will be a Airsoft Match held there. Could you give me some more
information about this event to pass along to the Airsoft Ohio
community, ie Age requirements, Firearm restrictions, can we bring our
own airsoft guns down, what will the match include? Thank you for your
help. Dave

This has so much potential to show the "springer kids" whats what.

How big are these "chickens"?

We only get 5 rounds of what kind of ammo? (.12 will prolly go over the fairgrounds in some of our guns)

What kinda dollars we talkin about here? Winner take all?

And does he mean an "open" division and a "scope" division, or all in one?

Hay BC, email the guy at mikeduve@peoplesrights.org and ask you're qustions and explane just what our guns can do. And about the cash, se how much it is, and tell us all. I think it would be funny to have guys show up with like their VSR-10's, shooting Maruzen super grandmasters, just totally owning these little kids. hehehehehe Thanks Dave

I agree, I just want to know what kind of bucks we are talkin here.

I dont see a ton of cash in the cheapo airsoft shootout challenge.

I wonder if we are allowed to use Eric Grafall BBs from Cybergun for this uber event.

:p Hell Clips, if I showed up with the Infinity and Sidd with his SAA, we could give the springers a full-on heart attack. Not to mention my VSR-10 in the rifle round.

If it wasn't so far away... I'd be there. I don't see a car pool happening.

I'm about 99% sure you aren't allowed to use optics, but I could be wrong.
